AI Assist is a meeting notes tool for Google Meet and Zoom Web that captures the meeting tab via a Chrome extension (no bot joins the call) and pairs it with a local desktop helper for macOS and Linux; audio is streamed directly to your own OpenAI key for Whisper transcription and summaries/grounded answers run through your own Anthropic key, so the AI Assist backend never sees your audio or transcripts, which are stored locally in SQLCipher-encrypted storage. It also offers proactive insights and file-grounded Q&A during calls by indexing your local documents with on-device embeddings. The desktop license is a one-time $3 payment with a 14-day free trial and no per-seat subscription, with an optional $3/month end-to-end encrypted cloud sync add-on; Windows and ChromeOS support are in development.
