About Refact

Refact is an open-source coding agent with plugins for VS Code and JetBrains and a local Refact engine. Its hosted Refact Cloud (accounts, credits and paid subscriptions) was discontinued in 2026; the project continues as local-first and BYOK, so chat, agent workflows and integrations run with the providers you configure (OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini, DeepSeek, OpenRouter, Groq, xAI or any OpenAI-compatible endpoint) or local runtimes such as Ollama, LM Studio and vLLM. Requests go only to the providers you set up.
