Witsy is a free, open-source desktop AI assistant that works as a universal MCP (Model Context Protocol) client, allowing you to run MCP servers with virtually any LLM. As a BYOK application, you bring your own API keys for providers like OpenAI, Anthropic, Google Gemini, xAI, Meta, MistralAI, DeepSeek, OpenRouter, Groq, Cerebras, and Azure, or use Ollama for free local models. Features include chat completion with vision support, text-to-image and video generation, Prompt Anywhere for generating content in any app, AI commands on highlighted text, scratchpad for interactive content creation, RAG for chatting with local documents, transcription/dictation, realtime voice mode, and Anthropic Computer Use support.
