Asset Lab is a native Mac and Linux desktop app for generating AI images, video, and audio, covering everything from character casting and storyboarding to multi-shot film editing and export. Instead of a subscription, users bring their own Fal.ai API key, which is stored locally and sent only to Fal's API, so renders bill directly at Fal's raw usage prices with no markup or middleman server. It gives access to 53 generation models (23 image, 30 video) plus editors and lip-sync models, including Seedance, Kling, Veo, and Wan, alongside a companion "AssetLab Resolve" edition that docks the same tools inside DaVinci Resolve. The app itself is a one-time $49 purchase covering unlimited machines and 12 months of updates, with an optional $19/year renewal afterward.
