About Cursor

Cursor is an AI-first code editor based on VS Code with chat, an agent that edits across files, and tab completion. In settings you can add your own API keys for OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, Azure OpenAI or AWS Bedrock, and Cursor then uses them for chat models. Keys are not stored on Cursor's servers, but requests still pass through Cursor's backend, and tab completion always uses Cursor's own models. Cursor's zero-data-retention policy does not cover requests made with your own key.
