About Nib

Nib is a bring-your-own-key coding agent for the terminal that edits files, runs commands and delegates work, with explicit allow/ask/deny permissions per tool and no telemetry. It keeps the prompt prefix stable so provider caches hit, which makes cheap models such as DeepSeek practical to leave running. You add a key with the nib auth command for DeepSeek, OpenAI, OpenRouter, Groq, Ollama or about 190 other OpenAI-compatible providers; keys are stored locally with file mode 0600. Nib installs from npm or Homebrew and is Apache-2.0 licensed.
