About JetBrains AI Assistant

JetBrains AI Assistant adds chat, code generation, refactoring help and an agent to IntelliJ IDEA, PyCharm, WebStorm and the other JetBrains IDEs. Besides JetBrains' own AI plans, it can use cloud models with your own API key from Anthropic, OpenAI or Google (Gemini API or Vertex AI), any OpenAI-compatible endpoint, or local models through Ollama and LM Studio. Agents and MCP tool calls are not available with local models.
